In 2008, Jill Salzman launched The Founding Moms, the world’s first and only collective of offline meetups and online resources for mom entrepreneurs. A graduate of Brown University and law school, she started a music management firm and then launched and later sold a baby jewelry company before building this community. She’s the author of Found It: A Field Guide for Mom Entrepreneurs and the co-host of Inc. Magazine’s top-rated entertaining business podcast, Breaking Down Your Business.
She gave her own TED talk on 11/11/11, CNNMoney has called her a “mommy mogul,” and MSN Live thinks she’s a “Cool Mom Entrepreneur We Love.” She was named one of the Top 50 Women to Watch In Tech, a Top 100 Champion Small Business Influencer, and Forbes even said this website is one of their Top 10 Websites For Entrepreneurs. She’s shared the speaker stage with Richard Branson, Sheryl Sandberg, Daymond John, Marilu Henner, and Desmond Tutu. In her spare time, Jill enjoys kloofing, baking, and preventing her daughters from lighting the house on fire.
